Climbing Rocks
After Jeremy helped Noah climb the "rocks" one time, he wanted to do it by himself. This playground is close to our condo in the Plantation Resort in Myrtle Beach.

Olympics 1996 Ocoee Whitewater Center
We stopped here on our way to SC. It was the canoe slalom venue for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. It is the only in-river course to be used for Olympic slalom competition.
Today, the course is watered only on summer weekends, for use by guided rafts and private boaters. The hanging slalom gates have been permanently removed. Because the river rarely has water, the Center, now operated by the U.S. Forest Service, serves primarily as a site for hiking, mountain biking, conferences, weddings, and receptions.

It's level
First Dan dug the ditch for the pole, then he filled the sonotube with cement, and finally inserted the pole for the dishes. It's level and ready for the dishes.

Hike
Wednesday I went on a hike to the mine ruins on Oak Creek Grade with the Canonland Walkers and Hikers. This old road system was once used to access a mine or mines in the San Isabel National Forest, south of Canon City. It was a beautiful day for a hike.

Tongue and Groove
We had the DLD Construction guys come out and put up the tongue and groove cedar. They whipped it out in one day and did a great job.

Dan spent the day installing the door and drawer pulls (hardware) in the bathrooms and the kitchen. This view is of the island.

Lunch and Auction
Lunch at the event was yummy...sloppy joes, 4 kinds of salad, chips, a drink, and dessert. Bidding against my friend, Linda, made for interesting "shopping" at the auction.

Jumper Judge
I volunteered to be a Jumper Judge at the Pair Pare Event. My station was #13 and my job was to watch the contestants as they rode up the hill at the end of the woods and jumped over the log. As I waited for the horses, I enjoyed the view. Some of the horses did not like to walk through the water.

Pair Pace
Today the Pair Pare Horse Event was held at Cort Steven's and Karen Colburn's ranch. This fund raising event was to raise money to help with Karen's medical expenses. She was helping move cattle in the valley, and her horse threw her and she ended up being flown to the hospital in Colorado Springs where she has had surgery and is working with a AT and OT and is starting to walk again.
