Dilley

On April 24, 2010 we moved to Dilley. We are living in our RV while we build our passive solar home. Our new address is 856 Dilley Ranch Road, Canon City, 81212. It is located 12 miles north of Canon City.

For Sale

This says it all. 12297 W. Ohio Drive, Lakewood, CO was our home for 22 years. In March we put the house on the market and had a contract on the first day.

Brian & Micah

Brain Prahl, my nephew, and Micah Mello, my niece, came from California to be with us when we celebrated Mom's life. Brian is looking at a picture album and Micah is posing with Dan. We were delighted that they were able to come.

Dee Prahl

January 16, 2010

January 16th was the day when we celebrated the life of Dee Prahl, our beloved mother. Her 95 year old brother, Ralph, flew from Delaware to be with us. Here you see the 3 Prahl kids, Karen, Ralph, and Harry.

Dan is painting the bottom of his drift boat with herculiner to protect it from water. This was in preparation for our fishing trip to Montana this fall.

Building Blocks

Dan has been busy building cabinets for Jeremy and Stephanie's kitchen. The doors have been ordered. Next step is to make the drawers.

At the Farm

We took the kids to dinner at the White Fence Farm. It was a perfect day for taking pictures. Aren't we pretty?

Noah

Noah, who is 8 & 1/2 months old, likes to put everything into his mouth to inspect it. He is on the go ALL of the time and it is a challenge to take his picture.

America

Dan and I added the states on our U.S. map on our RV. We have only 17 that we haven't visited inour travels. America is truly a beautiful country. We are so lucky.

Hike

My ski buddies, Sharon and Joanie, and I spent 5 hours hiking at Loveland Ski area where we enjoy the slopes in ski season. We climbed the 13er and loved the view at the top. Maybe next ski season we'll attempt the slopes on this side. The wildflowers were wonderful.

Zac and Jennie came for the picnic. Also, Tom and Jan Cartwright, who live in Laramie, came for the day. Tom is Mary Cartwright Prahl's brother (Harry's wife). It was a good visit.

Harry, my brother, came to visit. We had a family picnic while he was here. Brother Ralph, who lives in Cheyenne and takes good care of mom, is on the left, Mom is next to him. Harry and I are in the front.

Butterfly

While we were in TN visiting Dick and Sandy, I learned how to do stained glass. This is my first creation. Thank you Sandy!

Bed

One thing I love about Dan is his building ability. His latest project is a "Murphy Bed.

RV Parks

We have stayed in Good Sam Parks, KOA Parks, private parks, State Parks, and National Parks. Traveling in an RV is special because we are in our home away from home. Napping is always an option.

The Rally

We attended the 10th annual Good Sam Rally held in Albuquerque, NM. This picture is just of Lot 1, there were 5 different lots with ALL kinds of RVs.

Balloon Ride

Floating above the city of Albuquerque was a wonderful adventure. There were four of us in the basket, the pilot, a friendly couple from CA and Karen. (Heights are not Dan's thing)
