After drilling the two inch hole in the wall, Dan is digging out the foam. This is to allow access to the conduit in the wall..

This tub/shower unit will be in the second bathroom. The trailer sure made transporting this unit easy.

Birthday
The crew, Caesar, Alex, and Roberto, finished framing on Thursday. We celebrated Caesar's birthday before they left. Hopefully, they will return next week to put in the missing panels and the windows.

Hole in the Roof
A pellet stove is on order and will be in the great room. The hole in the roof and the pipe and black box needed to be installed before the framing inspection.

The window openings in the great room are getting a "window lift" due to panels that were made incorrectly.

Arches
Arches, arches everywhere. Actually there are now two in the framing stage. The first one that you see is in the mud room, notice the barrel ceiling. This is where we will sit down, change our shoes & hang up our coats. The second one is in the great room.

coffee stain
Oops! The crew has been very careful about not spilling things on the floor, since we plan to stain the concrete. However, Bryon's coffee tipped over in the kitchen. Luckily it landed right next to the north wall where the cabinets will be located.

Modifying Panels
In order for the panels to all fit, Roberto measured, cut, and "shaved" the foam so that the panel will be snug in its final resting place.

Roof
The garage is the first area to have a roof on the north and south. The last panel was put in place right about dark o'clock today. The north side of the house also has roof panels in place. Notice the clouds to the east, shades of pink in those stormy looking clouds.

Unplanned Skylights
Due to an error at the factory where the panels were made, we have some unplanned skylights. Bryan, and his crew will fill in the holes with OSB board and foam will be sprayed into these four areas to correct the problem. They are in the north part of the house where the utility room and laundry room are located.

Measuring
We measured and put down boards and cardboard to see where our "island" in the kitchen area will be built. Jen came to measure for the kitchen cabinets. We are having Brooks Brothers Cabinetry make the hickory cabinets.

A visitor
Renee, our neighbor from down the valley, came with her "girls" today to visit and see the house construction. Nice, nice horses.

Roof Panels Installed
The first of the roof panels were installed on Thursday. We're hoping for more of our great Colorado weather to get the rest of the roof panels installed.
