The flies kept Dan busy!

Swallow Canyon

Can you guess why this is called Swallow Canyon?

Swinging Bridge

On one of the fishing trips Gus and Dan found themselves on this one lane bridge late at night.

Row, Row, Row

Squirt Gun Fight

Notice what Dan has in his hands, ready to load into the drift boat.

Nancy happened to bring the squirt guns that she had bought for her grandchildren. This was a fun way to cool off!

Lunch

After eating lunch during one of the float trips, the guys tried their luck at fly fishing.

Jarvie Historical Site

This historical site is located 1/4 mile from the campground. The guided tour and video were very informative.

Gus and Nancy

Since we were able to hire a shuttle service to deliver the truck to the take out point, all four of us could float the Green River at the same time.

The Happy Fisherman

This is the way to fish! Both Dan and I caught fish of all sizes. Fortunately, Dan would take the fish off the hook for me.

Preparing the boats

Dan and Gus are busy preparing the boats before launching. This was taken at the Indian Crossing Boat Ramp.

Brown's Park Store

This is where the fishing fellows would stop and check on conditions, buy any forgotten supplies, and visit with Fred, the owner. The HOT July weather prompted us to stop and get an ice cream treat.

Brown's Park consists of 40 miles, half being in Colorado and the other half in Utah. The winters are mild. It was first known as Brown's Hole.

Green River Camping Trip

For years Dan and his fishing buddies have gone on an annual October fishing trip, "Fall Fishing Fiasco." The Green River, located in Brown's Park, Utah, has been a favorite spot for this event. Having seen pictures and heard many stories about their fun adventures, I thought it would be fun to see this picturesque area. We packed up the RV and met Gus and Nancy in Grand Lake, Colorado, on July 23rd. This picture shows Dan and Gus inspecting the rack which Gus built to transport his raft.

GONE!

When our neighbors, Sara and Mike, recently had the bushes removed from their front yard, it showed us how much better our front yard would look. So we have started cutting away.

Bushes

Bushes, bushes, bushes. Going, going,
