Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve

Created in 1982 this protects 48,000 acres of land along the Chilkat, Klehini and Tsirku Rivers. This is a fall and winter gathering place for over 3,500 bald eagles, the largest in the world. We have seen several eagles soaring high about the RV Park where we are camped.
