VOC

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado is a statewide nonprofit volunteer organization whose mission is to motivate and enable citizens to become active stewards of Colorado’s natural resources. What a rewarding experience. These are some of the supplies that were used on the Saturday workday in which I participated. VOC is very organized.

We performed maintenance on the Marsh Quarry’s trails that were first built by VOC in 1996. The Quarry, which is located about 5 miles south of where we live, has produced the largest number of vertebrate type specimens of any single Morrison formation dinosaur locality. We also celebrated the First Annual Fossil Day with the Bureau of Land Management that manages the quarry.
